for tonight, we can recommend the fatal shore concert, who are playing post-punk-blues, so certainly it won’t beat the trash city club on menta terasz, where the trousers, panic radio and e.z. basic will have a joint gig

pozvakowski is playing a special gig on saturday at the ultrahang festival, with guests musicians. their new lp is on the way, not ready yet, but they are going to upload some new tracks this week for their homepage and also for theirspace.

30Y band will distribute 30 cds among its fans on their album release party on friday in budapest

the band had a remarkable idea, they are going to give 30-30 pieces (30 in pécs, 30 in budapest) of their debut album to the fans for free, in exchange for any ripped or copied cd of the same album
this way they would like to thank the fans for supporting the band by visiting the concerts

ken stringfellow (the posies, r.e.m., big star) is going to have a gig again in hungary, playing his nice songs on 28th march at trafik, pécs.

beatclub budapest starts next tuesday, february 6th. join us on the first night with the hammer of gods, mmamt (peter egyedi alone) and dj interonaut + brandon (gumipop).

the original idea of organizing another indie clubnight in budapest was to revive the atmosphere of the good old pesti est parties, a place where everybody came to see the bands and not to show their faces. and of course, just to invite bands we like and nobody else would invite. though kultiplex can not be compared to the small pesti est café, we have reached our goal: during the shows you could hardly see anyone in the bar… everyone stayed in the concert room.

„to beat or not to beat” had a decent success, so, as you would say, the show must go on. we have changed the name, now it’s just three words, we switched from Thursdays to Tuesdays and the night will be longer, after the shows we will provide some nice indie dance tracks to make you stay. we did not change the line-up, because you can’t find good new bands on every tree + we are not bored of the hammer of gods, photocromic or ripley under water.

the moog will conquer america :)

the church has invited heaven street seven for their upcoming european tour. the tour starts in budapest, april 12th, and reaches 9 countries. the final show will be in london, at the carling academy islington.

a new website of the band óriás has been launched.

also, a myspace page dedicated to rag doll has been launched. the former members of rag doll play in bands like amber smith, the trousers and neo.

from february gumipop clubnights will move from sark to another club, after music club (AMC - same district, almost the same street as Sark) + there will be some band shows every two weeks + hangmás & bianca story moves from the 17th march to the 16th march, also to AMC

the beat club budapest @ kultiplex will continue on every tuesday from the 6th february - all confirmed dates are added

the one and only hungarian joy division tribute band, Êzaknëk will play tomorrow (21.12) in Kultiplex. Êzaknëk is a project of some well known musicians: Krisztián Szűcs (guitar, vocals) and Róbert Németh (bass) plays in Heaven Street Seven, Geri Kovács (guitar, synthesizer) comes from A Kutyavacsorája and Tibor Simon (drums) used to play in The Trousers and Amber Smith.
